The Bruker TRACER 5G Portable XRF Analyzer is a handheld device with precise material testing capabilities. This user-friendly XRF spectrometer has direct USB thumb drive storage and PC transfer capabilities. The TRACER 5G has a comprehensive internal sample camera and user-friendly display. Able to complete in-depth elemental analysis, the Bruker TRACER 5G Portable XRF Analyzer is the ideal analyzer for cutting-edge research out in the field.The Bruker TRACER 5g XRF is a handheld, portable spectrometer ideal for elemental analysis in the field and in laboratory-like settings. Specifically designed for methods development, research and complex material analysis, the TRACER 5g detects elements from Fluorine to Uranium (with a He atmosphere) and analyzes elements from Sodium to Uranium.
Geoscience users have long seen the TRACER 5g as unique in its ability to provide elemental information in analyzing ores, cores, drill cuttings, soil and sediment. The TRACER 5g features a 1 μm graphene detector window, an integrated touchscreen display, 50kV X-ray tube, SharpBeam™ front end geometry (for maximizing count rate and light elemental sensitivity), large area silicon drift detector (SDD) with CUBE™ technology (maximizes count rate and light element sensitivity), selectable spot sizes (including 3 and 8 mm collimators) and is capable of operating in air, helium or vacuum environments.
While the TRACER 5 has the ability to completely control the current and voltage, it also adds many new features which have been requested by our users. The user can select filters from the integrated filter wheel or insert user-designed filters. In addition, the measurements can be made in air, vacuum or helium atmosphere, which can be selected based on the needs of the user. The detector configuration and a small distance between the sample and detector make for a very sensitive system with some of the lowest detection limits available today. The TRACER 5 has approximately three times the sensitivity of the previous generation TRACERs, with helium purge TRACER 5 is the only handheld XRF that can elements as light as fluorine.
