NEW BRUKER TRACER 5I HANDHELD XRF ANALYZER SALE!! (BRUKER TRACER 5I HANDHELD XRF ANALYZER)

The basis of X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectrometry is the interaction of X-ray photons from a separate excitation source with atoms of the elements of interest found in the sample (filter deposit). When these excitation photons interact with the atoms in the sample, the photons cause the ejection of inner shell electrons. Outer shell electrons then fall into these vacancies. These transitions result in the emission of X-rays that are characteristic of the element. The energy of the characteristic X-ray is equal to the difference in the electron-binding energies of the two electron shells involved in the transition. Because the electron-binding energies are a function of the atomic number, the energy of the X-ray is characteristic of the element. The number or intensity of X-rays produced at a given energy provides a measure of the amount of the element present by comparisons with standards.

The Bruker TRACER 5i XRF is a handheld, portable spectrometer ideal for elemental analysis in the field and in laboratory-like settings. Specifically designed for methods development, research and complex material analysis, the TRACER 5i detects elements from Sodium to Uranium and analyzes elements from Magnesium to Uranium.

Advanced material, art and archeology users have long seen the TRACER 5i as unique in its ability to provide elemental information regarding objects which require authentication and conservation. The TRACER 5i features a 8 μm beryllium detector window, an integrated touchscreen display, 50kV X-ray tube, SharpBeam front end geometry (for maximizing count rate and light elemental sensitivity), large area silicon drift detector (SDD) with CUBE technology (maximizes count rate and light element sensitivity), selectable spot sizes (including 3 and 8 mm collimators) and is capable of operating in air, helium or vacuum environments.

Bruker’s TRACER 5i synchronizes power, function, precision and accuracy to provide dynamic, field capable elemental analysis from everyday point-and-shoot testing to the ever-changing challenges and complexities of advanced applications and research.

The TRACER 5i has the ability to use an air, vacuum or helium beam path and to interactively control power, filters, collimators and atmosphere, along with comprehensive data analysis capabilities to provide the ultimate in on-site interaction for faster analysis at lower LODs — especially for light elements like sodium. The analytical software for complex materials are part of the TRACER's comprehensive software features, but has a more streamlined workflow with EasyCal software to provide simple correlation fits for standard materials.

NEW BRUKER EOS 500 HANDHELD LIBS ANALYZER SALE!! (BRUKER EOS 500 HANDHELD LIBS ANALYZER)

The Bruker EOS 500 Handheld LIBS is a Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) system firing a class 3B, 1064nm laser with an average power of ~100mW, density of > 1GW/cm² and rep. rate of 5KHz. The Bruker EOS 500 performs analysis based on laser excitation of a metal sample followed by quantitative analysis of the light generated in the plume. This technology provides quick (3-5 sec) analysis of alloys. In addition to the normal XRF elements, the Bruker EOS 500 is capable of measuring very light elements such as Li, Be and B, as well as quick analysis of Mg, Al and Si. Optional calibrations are available for Iron, Nickel, Copper and Cobalt alloys. This unit is especially well suited to the scrap-sorting of these alloys because of its quick and user friendly operation. Because Bruker EOS 500 LIBS devices are well suited to measuring low atomic number elements like alkaline (Li, Na, etc.) and alkaline-earth metals (Be, Mg, etc.), they are perfectly paired with XRF devices, which specialize in measuring high atomic number elements.

The EOS 500 is well suited for use in scrap sorting of alloys because of its lightweight (2.4 kg including battery), fast analysis and ease of operation. In addition to the standard XRF elements, the EOS 500 can analyze very light elements such as Li, Be and B, and is the preferred analyzer for measuring elements such as Mg, Al, Si. For light element analysis with the EOS 500, it is approximately 10x faster than XRF, easily saving you time and money. Optional calibrations are available for Iron, Nickel, Copper and Cobalt alloys.
