Hexagon Metrology released the Leica Absolute Tracker AT402, the next-generation laser tracker based on the Leica AT401 product line. The portable 3D Absolute Tracker can be utilized for fully guided 3D measurement processes, as well as traditional inspection tasks. The new laser tracking system is optimized for ease of use, so operators can focus on the measurement task instead of complicated settings, such as the number of samples or measurement frequency. The Leica AT402 is reportedly ideal for large volume, precision measurement applications performed by industries such aerospace, power generation, heavy equipment and other manufacturers that produce large components and assemblies.
Leica AT402 Absolute Laser Trackers are portable coordinate measuring machine (CMM) capable of taking large volume measurements in 3D or with 6DOF to sub millimetre accuracies.

The Leica Absolute Tracker AT402 has a unique “All in One” system design that incorporates such needed accessories as built-in live video, level to gravity, environmental monitoring and even an integrated IR remote control. With automated workflows in both software offerings, the BLK360 plus the software solution of your choice dramatically streamlines the reality capture process, opening this technology to non-surveying individuals.
