Oxford Instruments X-MET5000 XRF Handheld Analyzer XMET 5000 Calibrated. In good working and cosmetic condition. Tested and works. See pictures. Calibrated and serviced by Oxford Instruments October 2015. Comes loaded with the latest software, new battery, new charger and everything pictured. Loaded with Rohs, alloy mode. Can test for Precious Metals also and a lot of metals.
The X-MET5000 major strength is the Light Element Treatment (LET) mode, enabling fast and accurate analysis of heavy elements, even when the sample contains light elements like Aluminum and Silicon. This is not possible when using Fundamental Parameters (FP) on an analyzer that does not detect the light elements.
X-MET hand-held XRF analysers are specifically designed for:
- positive material identification (PMI)
- metal identification/scrap sorting
- analysis of alloys and hazardous material analysis (RoHS screening)
- analysis of heavy metals in soils on polluted lands and ores at mining sites
- screening for lead in toys
- detection of lead in paint
Advantages:
- Closed beam operation for increased radiation safety
- Improved measurement precision
- Simplified sample positioning
- Simplified and more comfortable operation when measuring many samples
The X-MET5000 combines Oxford Instruments' ground breaking Silicon Drift Detector (SDD) with our own purpose built powerful 45kV X-ray tube. This cutting edge technology delivers a five times faster measurement speed, improved detection limits and significant accuracy improvement over conventional systems.
At the pull of a trigger, the X-MET5000 and X-MET5100 X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysers provide fast, highly accurate, on-the-spot sample screening and analysis. The need for expensive laboratory testing is minimal. X-MET enables GPS integration for real-time correlation of measurement data and location coordinates.
